Your Move Your Destiny | How Leadership Coaching Enables You To Get Clarity for the Next Action
What is the first step to turning desire into purposeful living?
The first step is recognising that desire is a signal, not a distraction. It is your soul’s internal compass pointing toward meaning. When acknowledged and explored, desire leads to clarity, which becomes the foundation for setting purposeful, goal-driven action.
Introduction: Understanding Desire from Within
What one wants in life and what makes life worthwhile are generally termed desires. In actuality, desires are deep-seated emotions associated with pleasure embedded within your soul. Each desire is the result of a chemical unbalance in your brain and uneasiness in your nervous system. They are the alarms going off every now and then that give you sleepless nights, and if ignored for too long they turn into a big bang that strikes exactly when you see someone else living the life you wanted.
The Root of Anxiety and Emotional Signals
Anxiety starts when you are hoping for something but are unable to take any action to get it. Does it not often happen that one lives in a state of despair trying to mend his life and after all the possible efforts all in vain? We as humans are built to survive, we have been blessed with emotions which are the indicators of our state. Better the state or, we would be flying over the moon, we would be ready to set the world on fire where everything including our existence is in question.

The Elusive Balance of Personal and Professional Life
We seek pleasure in what we do in both our personal and professional lives but seldom find the balance that makes both sync together. The state of displeasure we live in is a result of not having a clear tangible goal set for ourselves and that is the reason one does not see the true sense of living.
The Common Cry: “I Feel Lost”
Believe me, the first words I often hear from my clients in their pre-coaching assessment session whether it may be a student, a businessman, a housewife, a working empowered woman, or a high-performance sportsman, are “I FEEL LOST.”
Direction, Intuition, and Self-Discovery
Today, I feel obliged to let you set loose in your quest to explore the very possibilities you have in life, to find it all. But listen to this, it is you and just you that can make it possible. Humans have this built-in power to recognize wrong from right and that power we have is the power of intuition which guides us paralleled with our emotions, giving us an indicator of which way is the way to go.
The Road to Goal Setting
When there is talk of direction, every road leads to a destination i.e. the goal in this case. The best approach to letting yourself lose and finding the true meaning to life is to first explore the possibilities offered by life, assessing and giving deep thought to what you used to be happy about and what made you strive more for when you were in a better state of mind.
Reflection and Subconscious Dialogue
Giving time to yourself and having deep conversations with yourself enables you to access the near and distant past within your subconscious reminding you of what was more important, which relations that you let go were actually making you feel present in the moment.
Shifting Perceptions and Beliefs
Next, it would be the perception change, we have generalized beliefs about most of the things around us, most of our relations and colleagues, all that is actually a result of one of the experiences that our brain presents to us as a general happening. One big dog bites a person and it makes all big dogs dangerous for us. We need to change and have our own beliefs according to our new findings because of the deep work we do. Deep work finds purpose and purpose redefines your perceptions.
Unlocking Action Through Belief
Different personalities, different perceptions, and new beginnings are led by the new belief. Our belief would lead us to take action and as famously said emotions create actions, so you have to set a bigger objective ahead of you but keep small rewards for yourself throughout the way.
Instant Gratification Through Micro-Wins

Instant gratification is achieved not by dreaming of the eventual goal but by finding rewards on the way there. Small rewards to push you and give you the motivation you seek to get there. A hiker sets out already knowing the hilltop he wants to reach and at what time, but still what if he runs out of water? His focus would instantly be diverted to getting to water somehow rather than the top. Just imagine the same hiker finds a stream on the way and fills his bottle. After having a fill, what would the hiker be thinking of now?
Conclusion: Purposeful Living and the Power of Company
So to sum it all up, we need to set goals for ourselves and live an objective-driven life. While doing so we associate pleasures with smaller achievements along the way and celebrate them with the company you keep. I must add here that be mindful of the company you keep, surround yourself with those who challenge you to achieve the goal, who celebrate with you with all honesty when you feel like a winner and those who stand with you, to motivate you when you are feeling down.
